dc.descriptionThis work pretends to present nine previously unknown documents related to the preparation, execution, and reception of the first Mapuche-Spanish parliament in Quillín in 1641. These documents differ from those previously published because their authors were high ranking secular leaders. We hope that the addition of these documents will allow for the creation of new areas of study related to the Arauco Indian war and the political intentions of Chile’s 17 th -century Spanish governors.en-US
dc.descriptionEn este trabajo se presentan nueve documentos inéditos relacionados con la preparación, ejecución y recepción del primer parlamento mapuche-español de Quillín del año 1641. A diferencia de la documentación ya conocida sobre el parlamento, los textos que aquí se presentan fueron escritos por los altos oficiales seculares del reino. Esperamos que la adición de estos documentos pueda generar nuevos enfoques sobre la guerra de Arauco y las intenciones políticas de los gobernadores de Chile del siglo XVII.es-ES
