This article proposes a dialogue and reflection on the teaching of poetry at school. From a knowledge that is built based on thinking about the experience of the person who teaches. Knowing that it is configured alongside the stories, and thoughts of the teacher and poet Rosabetty Muñoz. It was approached from the narrative inquiry method, the epistolary writings that contain the teacher's stories are analyzed. Among the main findings are the relationship that the poet establishes between her beginnings as a reader and her teaching work, as well as the importance that she gives to poetry as a possibility of creation, attention and encounter, both with others and with the world. The thoughts and reflections that the encounter with the teacher provides, open new dimensions from which to think about the teaching of the poetic and confirm the important link between meanings, beliefs and pedagogical practices.; Este artículo propone un diálogo y reflexión en torno a la enseñanza de la poesía en la escuela, desde un saber que se construye en base al pensar la experiencia de quien enseña. Saber que se configura junto a las historias, relatos y pensamientos de la maestra y poeta Rosabetty Muñoz. Abordado desde el método de indagación narrativa, se analizan los escritos epistolares que contienen relatos y reflexiones de la maestra. Entre los principales hallazgos se encuentran la relación que la poeta establece entre sus inicios como lectora y su quehacer docente, junto a la importancia que confiere a la poesía como posibilidad de creación, atención y encuentro, tanto con el otro como con el mundo. Los pensamientos y reflexiones que arroja el encuentro con la maestra abren nuevas dimensiones desde las cuales pensar en la enseñanza de lo poético y confirman la importante vinculación entre sentidos, creencias y prácticas pedagógicas.

This article questions the disengagement that exists between European history and American history in a large part of the Chilean university system. Specifically, we emphasize on Early Modern and Colonial history which are taught in a disconnected way that ignores the importance the comprehension of one has for the comprehension of the other. To show the importance of the previous teaching of Middle Age history and the parallel one of Early Modern history for the subject of colonial history, we turn to three thematic fields. First, the legitimation of the Castilian dominance in America, which is based on a couple of peninsular precedents on the control of Africa and the Atlantic. Second, the order of society and the relationship between the dominant and the dominated. We show the importance of the medieval experiences the Castilian crown had on treating non-Christian parts of the population within its territory. Third, the institutions of government where we evidence that the American government was no particular phenomenon.; Este artículo cuestiona la desvinculación existente entre la historia europea y la americana que existe en buena parte del sistema universitario chileno. En concreto, nos ocupamos de la historia moderna y colonial, contenidos que se imparten de forma desfasada, ignorando así la importancia que tiene la comprensión de uno para la comprensión del otro. Para mostrar la importancia de la enseñanza previa de historia medieval y paralela de historia moderna para la asignatura de historia colonial, se recurren a tres campos temáticos. Primero, la legitimación del dominio castellano en América, el cual se basa en una serie de antecedentes peninsulares sobre el dominio en África y en el Atlántico. Segundo, el orden de la sociedad y la relación entre dominador y dominado. Se muestra la importancia de las experiencias medievales que tenía la Corona castellana en tratar con poblaciones no cristianas dentro de su territorio. Tercero, las instituciones del gobierno, parte en la cual se evidencia que el gobierno americano no era ningún fenómeno particular.
