Contributions of Family Farmers to Food and Nutrition Security and Access to Public Policies: An Analysis of the National School Feeding Program (Pnae) in the Municipality of Barbalha, Ceará; Contribuições das agricultoras familiares para a Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional e o acesso às políticas públicas: Uma análise do Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar (Pnae) do município de Barbalha, Ceará
This article aims to analyze the contradictions that permeate the contribution of rural women to the construction of Food and Nutrition Security (SAN) and the challenges in accessing public policies, from the perspective of the National School Feeding Program (Pnae) of the municipality of Barbalha, in the Northeast Region of Brazil. To this end, we conducted a qualitative research, using as a methodological strategy the case study and the use of bibliographic, documentary and field research with the application of forms and interviews, understood based on discourse analysis. We highlight as results the tiny number of female farmers registered in the Pnae in Barbalha, in 2021 and 2022, and their participation in public policy through the commercialization of culinary products and/or through their families' agricultural production.; Este artigo tem como objetivo geral analisar as contradições que permeiam a contribuição das mulheres rurais na construção da Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional (SAN) e os desafios no acesso às políticas públicas, a partir da perspectiva do Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar (Pnae) do município de Barbalha, na Região Nordeste do Brasil.

Interview with Alejandra Lazo-Corvalán “Gender and rurality from the lens of the spatial mobility paradigm in the South-Austral of Chile”; Entrevista a Alejandra Lazo-Corvalán “Género y ruralidad desde el lente del paradigma de las movilidades espaciales en el Sur-Austral de Chile”
This work presents an interview with the Anthropologist and PhD in Geography Alejandra Lazo-Corvalán, academic at the Universidad de Los Lagos, Osorno in the South of Chile. Based on a theoretical, methodological and empirical work accumulated in a consolidated career as a researcher in the field of spatial and daily mobilities of inhabitants of Southern Chile, particularly in island territorial contexts such as the Chiloé Archipelago or the Calbuco Islands, we will review contents associated with how women design, perform and deploy strategies to make their spatial mobilities possible in places characterized by isolation, low connectivity and accessibility to services of general interest. Added to this are cultural variables linked to gender roles historically assigned to women, such as care work and domestic management. Finally, through this dialogue, we will explore the theoretical and methodological reports from which we can think about the gender experiences crossed by rural contexts and a daily life marked by the obligatory of many mobilities.; Este trabajo presenta una entrevista realizada a la Antropóloga y Doctora en Geografía Alejandra Lazo-Corvalán, académica de la Universidad de Los Lagos, Osorno en el Sur de Chile.

Psychosocial Support Strategies for the Problematization of Gender Relations in a Higher Education space for rural youth in Jalisco, Mexico

Psychosocial Support Strategies for the Problematization of Gender Relations in a Higher Education space for rural youth in Jalisco, Mexico; Estrategias de acompañamiento psicosocial para la problematización de las relaciones de género en un espacio de educación superior para juventudes rurales en Jalisco, México
The article presents some reflections around a process of participatory action research taken place at an institution of higher education in the state of Jalisco of Mexico, located in a rural context set up by agroindustry, in which some rural youth unfolds their life trajectories intersected by gender inequalities, inequities and uncertainty. Between 2022 and 2024 some investigations were made to understand how different variations of gender-based violences that they experience are related with the precarization of the conditions in which they study their higher education and the high index of discretion in the institute. Derived from this, there has been a series of organized events at school which objective has been to problematice gender relations, especially emphasizing violence against women and empowering female students. In addition, some strategies that had been aimed at male students for the sensibilization of their role in the different forms of violence inflicted are highlighted, but also taken into consideration the construction of their masculinities in these contexts, the submissions and subversions they impose as men. From this set of investigative and action processes it’s concluded that amongst facilitating access to higher education, it must be recognized that the rural youth condition it’s not only addressed by covering the structural dimension in the sense of the augmentation of schooling, nor the territorial dimension in terms of facilitating access in rural spaces, but it’s fully comprehended from it’s intersubjective dimension where we can see relations between male and female students, but also understand intergenerationally how those relations have been configured and what meanings and significance they have, as well as recognizing how the youth from their agency are modifying their ways of relating to each other and with the world.; El artículo presenta algunas reflexiones en torno a un proceso de investigación acción participativa llevado a cabo en una institución de educación superior del estado de Jalisco en México, situada en un contexto rural configurado por la agroindustria, en el cual algunos jóvenes rurales despliegan sus trayectorias de vida atravesados por inequidades de género, desigualdades e incertidumbre.
