dc.description | This article characterized land prices of the Pampean Region of Argentina employed a hedonic price model in order to value soil erosion. The methodology employs a linear hedonic price model to explain the rental rates of agricultural land, extending the model in order to consider variables associated with the relationships between economic agents due to the presence of asymmetric information. The results indicated that the variables associated with the relationships between economic agents due to the presence of asymmetric information were statistically significant. The value of each centimetre of soil lost through the process of erosion, estimated with the restricted linear model, was $0.53·centimetre-1. Additionally, the value of soil labour was $8,7/labour. The results were consistent with those of other researchers and were important to value the erosion process in the Pampean Region of Argentina.El presente trabajo caracteriza el modelo de decisión productivo del agricultor de la región “pampeana”, en la República Argentina, en relación a la problemática de la erosión y su valoración. Se aplicó el método de precios hedónicos en el mercado de arriendo de tierras agrícolas enfocándose el método hacia la tierra como un insumo de producción y ampliándolo para considerar algunas variables de relación entre los agentes del mercado. Se estimó un modelo de precios hedónicos lineal y los resultados indican que las variables de relación entre los agentes del mercado fueron estadísticamente significativas. El modelo restringido lineal arrojó valores de arriendo de $198 por hectárea (pesos argentinos). Se estimaron valoraciones de $0,53/ cm. de suelo y de $8,7/labor. Los resultados son promisorios para valorar erosión o condiciones del suelo en la región pampeana de Argentina. | en-US |
