| dc.description | The objective of this essay is to show a frame of reference for the Indian Christian primers and doctrine based on an ethnohistorical study and qualitative and paleographic analysis of a corpus made up of five primers dated in different periods of the 16th century. For this, it is necessary to approach the cultural context of the primers and Christian doctrine produced in Spain and specific issues related to literacy, diversity and language policies, situations that were decisive in the production and dissemination of Indian primers. The work contains two parts: An introduction to the cultural and historical context of the primers and Christian doctrine produced in Spain, the cultural and historical context of the Indian primers produced in three native languages: Nahuatl, Tarascan and Ngiwa. Finally, I conclude with a comparative and contrastive analysis of the content of the corpus. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente ensayo tiene como objetivo mostrar un marco de referencia de las cartillas y doctrina cristiana indianas a partir de un estudio etnohistórico y análisis cualitativo y paleográfico de un corpus conformado por cinco cartillas fechadas en distintos periodos del siglo XVI. Para ello, es necesario acercarnos al contexto cultural de las cartillas y doctrina cristina producidas en España y a temas concretos relacionados con la alfabetización, la diversidad y las políticas lingüísticas, situaciones que fueron determinantes en la producción y difusión de las cartillas indianas. El trabajo contiene dos partes: Una introducción del contexto cultural e histórico de las cartillas y doctrina cristiana producidas en España y el contexto cultural e histórico de las cartillas indianas producidas en tres lenguas originarias: náhuatl, tarasco y ngiwa. Por último, concluyo con un análisis comparativo y contrastivo del contenido del corpus. | es-ES |
