In this paper, we aim to analyze the final text of the COP28 Climate Change Conference in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, under the prism of Enrique Dussel’s ethics of liberation theory. We will determine whether the final document of the summit recognizes and empowers the victims of the climate crisis observed throughout the planet. We will examine whether the conclave recognizes the suffering inflicted on the victims of climate change-induced phenomena such as storms, hurricanes, and floods and whether they are provided resources that would enable them to build their own reverse and mitigation programs. Finally, we will explore whether the Conference offered concrete short- and long-term proposals for reversing the trend of climate global deterioration.En este trabajo pretendemos analizar el texto final de La conferencia sobre el clima de Dubái (COP28) a la luz de la ética de la liberación de Enrique Dussel. En ese sentido, determinaremos si el documento final del cónclave reconoce y empodera a las víctimas del deterioro ecológico que se observa por todo el planeta. Examinaremos si se reconoce el daño a las víctimas y si se les proveen recursos para construir su propio programa de reversión y mitigación del daño ecológico. Exploraremos si la retórica del documento concreta propuestas efectivas a corto y a largo plazo para conjurar esta debacle climática global.
