dc.descriptionThe Ministry of Health of the Plurinational Government of Bolivia (2016), promotes health education, to modify behaviors and attitudes that harm the lives of people. In this context, professionals linked to physical education and physical activity play a fundamental role since they are in charge of planning educational sessions both in educational establishments and in gyms. Objective: Analyze the professional level of instructors working in gyms in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Method: quantitative research supported by the descriptive statistics of a cross-sectional analysis. The sample was of 115 Instructors (92 men, 23 ladies), of 42 gyms. Results: 14.78% are professionals in the area of Education and / or Physical Activity and sport and 85.22% are not professionals of the area or are from other areas redistributed in the following way; 11.30% in Financial Sciences, 9.57% in Medical Sciences, 6.96% Social Sciences, 11.30% Engineering and, 60.87% in others or do not have any academic training. Conclusions: The results obtained show us a low percentage of professionals trained academically in the area and therefore there is an illegal exercise of the profession and a clear intrusion and professional invasion.en-US
dc.descriptionEl Ministerio de Salud del Gobierno Plurinacional de Bolivia (2016), promociona la educación en salud, para modificar conductas y actitudes que perjudiquen la vida de las personas. En este contexto, los profesionales ligados a la educación física y a la actividad física cumplen un rol fundamental ya que están encargados de planificar las sesiones educativas tanto en establecimientos educacionales como en gimnasios. Objetivo: Analizar el nivel profesional de los Instructores que trabajan en gimnasios en la ciudad de Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Método: investigación de tipo cuantitativa apoyada por la estadística descriptiva de un análisis transversal. La muestra fue de 115 Instructores (92 varones, 23 damas), de 42 gimnasios. Resultados: 14,78% son profesionales del área de Educación y/o Actividad Física y deporte y el 85,22% no son profesionales del área o son de otras áreas redistribuidas de la siguiente manera; 11,30% en Ciencias Financieras, el 9,57% en Ciencias Médicas, el 6,96% Ciencias Sociales, 11,30% Ingenierías y, el 60,87% en otras o no tienen ninguna formación académica. Conclusiones: Los resultados obtenidos nos muestran un bajo porcentaje de profesionales formados académicamente en el área y por lo tanto existe ejercicio ilegal de la profesión y un evidente intrusismo e invasión profesional.es-ES
