| dc.description | BACKGROUND Researchers who have examined the impact of stroke, regardless of mobility status, demonstrate that cognitive, communication and physical weakness, combined with the changing environment, often cause changes in daily routines, roles, and occupations. The objective of the study was to develop a tool to assess the environment and the implementation of activities of daily living by people who have had a stroke and have been discharged to their homes and to advise them on how to adapt to their new situation. METHOD Study for the development of a tool for assessment and intervention. To develop the home therapeutic advice in people who suffer stroke tool (HTAS tool), a literature review was performed through the electronic database PubMed and different practice guides for stroke recovery. Subsequently, a panel of 26 multidisciplinary evaluators assesses the tool. RESULTS A cut-off of 6.5 points for elimination of the items was established, with the result that 14 items were deleted. At the end of this phase, the HTAS tool was completed with 60 selected items. CONCLUSION The HTAS tool will make it possible to assess the environment and the implementation of activities of daily living through its items, locating the problems and providing advice needed for the people who have suffered a stroke and have been discharged to their homes. | en-US |

La debilidad cognitiva, física y de comunicación, causadas por el impacto del ictus, combinada con los cambios del entorno, a menudo causan cambios en las rutinas diarias, las funciones y las ocupaciones de los pacientes que han sufrido un ictus. El objetivo del estudio fue desarrollar un instrumento para evaluar el entorno y la ejecución de las actividades de la vida diaria de las personas que han sufrido un ictus y han sido dados de alta a sus domicilios, así como asesorarlos sobre la manera de adaptarse a su nueva situación. MATERIAL Y MÉTODOS. Estudio para el desarrollo del instrumento para el Asesoramiento Terapéutico Domiciliario en personas que sufren Ictus (instrumento ATDI). Se realizó una revisión de la literatura a través de la base de datos electrónica PubMed y diferentes guías de práctica clínica para la recuperación de un ictus. Posteriormente, un panel de 26 evaluadores multidisciplinarios valoró el instrumento. RESULTADOS. Tras establecerse una puntuación mínima de 6.5 puntos, 14 ítems fueron eliminados del instrumento inicial por no alcanzar dicha puntuación. Completándose definitivamente el instrumento ATDI con 60 ítems. CONCLUSIÓN. Con el instrumento ATDI se podrá evaluar el entorno y la ejecución de actividades de la vida diaria a través de sus ítems, localizando de esta forma los problemas que pueda haber y permitiendo al terapeuta proporcionar los consejos necesarios que ayuden a adaptarse a su nueva situación a las personas que han sufrido un ictus y han sido dados de alta a sus domicilios | es-ES |
