How to search for articles

This site allows searches through four modalities:

  • Journals: alphabetical listing of journals entered
  • Disciplines: listed through various areas of knowledge
  • Índices: list of recognized journals in the main international indexes
  • Institutions: Alphabetical list of institutions responsible for the publication of journals

How does it work

All the search modalities lead to the profile of the selected journal, which contains: information of the publication, a technical sheet with the edition data, bibliometric indicators obtained from Scimago and recent articles. Journals that do not have the information of the articles do not have the interoperability protocol that allows their data to be harvested by the Academic Journal Portal.

The harvest and distribution of metadata from the different servers of the magazines is periodically updated , in order to incorporate new articles. Each institution is responsible for the archiving of its documents, the description of the metadata and the definition of dissemination policies for its publications.

For the management of the Portal, Dspace is used, software that has a search engine, discovery capacity and flexibility in the management of collections; It also uses the OAI-PMH protocol to harvest and distribute the records of each journal.
