| dc.description | Este artículo analiza críticamente Zoopolis, obra que propone un marco político para normativizar las relaciones entre los seres humanos y los animales. Cuando se dan en una comunidad, acoge a los animales bajo los conceptos de “ciudadanía” y “residencia”. Si surgen entre sociedades, les otorga “soberanía”. Sin embargo, el paralelismo buscado entre ambas propuestas conduce a contradicciones. Algunos críticos proponen un enfoque cosmopolita como alternativa, pero cae en un error conceptual evitado por Zoopolis: la disolución de la frontera entre deberes políticos y acciones morales hacia los animales. | dc.description | This article analyses Zoopolis, a work which suggests a political framework for the relations between humans and animals, from a critical perspective. When these interactions occur in a community, the work includes animals under the concepts of “citizenship” and “denizenship”. If they emerge between societies, they are given “sovereignty”. However, this attempted parallelism leads to contradictions. Some critics take as a cosmopolitan approach as an alternative, but it falls into conceptual errors avoided by Zoopolis, such as the dissolution between political duties and moral actions towards animals. The post-cosmopolitan approach seems to be the most accurate to solve the situation. | en-US |
