| dc.description | This article explores the philosophical, aesthetic and historical bearings of the concept of ‘image’ in the works of the Cuban poet José Lezama Lima. Through the concept of ‘dance-image’, the first part of the article explains how Lezama Lima managed to set himself apart from Western metaphysics in order to develop a new approach to reality –a movement away from the traditional privilege given to the eye towards a sort of acoustic logic. The second part shows how this philosophical turn inaugurated a new interpretation of America that rivaled with Hegel’s History of the Spirit. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este artículo constituye una exploración del rendimiento estético, filosófico e histórico del concepto de ‘imagen’ en la obra del poeta cubano José Lezama Lima. Mediante el concepto de ‘imagen-danza’, en el primer apartado se intenta explicar de qué manera la obra de Lezama Lima se distanció conscientemente de la metafísica de Occidente para ensayar una nueva aproximación a la realidad –un paso de lo óptico a lo acústico. En el segundo apartado se muestra cómo este giro filosófico permitió montar una reflexión sobre América que discute abiertamente con la historia del Espíritu de Hegel. | es-ES |
