| dc.description | The tripartite agreement signed by Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay in 1979 and the two presidential visits in 1980 inaugurated a new stage in the bilateral relations between Argentina and Brazil. This occurs at a time when trade has increased substantially. For those who understood years ago the meaning and methodology of the change in the bilateral relationship, it is not necessary to find new arguments to defend its merits. On the other hand, it is necessary to ask honest questions about the possible pitfalls and points of tension that may arise in reciprocal relationships and to look imaginatively for concrete working mechanisms that allow giving it content. We maintain that the consistency of the change in reciprocal relations will depend on how such questions are answered, but also on the ability to articulate an effective system of economic and technological cooperation between both countries. | en-US |
| dc.description | El acuerdo tripartito celebrado por Argentina, Brasil y Paraguay en 1979 y las dos visitas presidenciales de 1980 inauguran una nueva etapa en las relaciones bilaterales entre la Argentina y Brasil. Ello se produce en momentos en que el intercambio comercial ha aumentado sustancialmente. Para quienes comprendieron años atrás el sentido y metodología del cambio en la relación bilateral, no es necesario encontrar nuevos argumentos para defender sus méritos. En cambio, sí resulta necesario plantear con franqueza interrogantes acerca de los posibles escollos y puntos de tensión que se pueden presentar en las relaciones recíprocas y buscar con imaginación mecanismos concretos de trabajo que permitan darle contenido. Sostenemos que la consistencia del cambio en las relaciones recíprocas dependerá de cómo se vayan respondiendo tales interrogantes, pero también de la habilidad para articular un sistema eficaz de cooperación económica y tecnológica entre ambos países. | es-ES |
