One of the premises historiographies more deeply accepted in relation to the peasantry of the first half of the 19th century, stands out his absolute absence of social relations of community character. The predominance of marginal agents, unorganically grouped, forced to an inevitable travelling (be for features psychoculturals or socioeconomic conditionings), used as unquestionable “facts”, only they have perpetuated the circumvent of the daily sociableness of the rural populations. In this article, on the contrary, we propose to demonstrate not only the existence of such a form of sociableness in Province of Concepción (established in the interrelationships of the domestic units, in the collective work like community practice and in the traffic of goods: set of practices orientated to the reciprocity), but, also, the efforts conscious that above mentioned subjects did to offset and to resist the policies of disciplinamiento that were re-formulating his atavistic guidelines of social behavior. Keywords: peasantry, sociability, community, everyday life, resistance.en-US
