| dc.description | This article examines the case of private employees in the city of Santiago de Chile between 1920 and 1960. To this effect, the increase in numbers of private employees will be reconstructed both in terms of absolute quantities and with respect to other occupations. Secondly, the article will examine the gender division of office tasks, unveiling the relationships of inequity developed. Lastly, the salaried identity of this sector will be shown to fit in with the working class. | dc.description | Este artículo abordará el análisis de los empleados particulares, en la ciudad de Santiago de Chile, entre 1920 y 1960. Para ello, en primer lugar, reconstruirá su incremento en cantidades absolutas y respecto de otras ocupaciones. En segundo lugar, se indagará en la división genérica de las tareas al interior de la oficina, reconstruyendo las relaciones de inequidad allí desarrolladas. Por último, se postulará la identidad asalariada de este segmento ocupacional defendiendo su pertenencia a las clases trabajadoras.
