| dc.description | This research accounts for the work done by different professionals of the educational area in schools and hospital classrooms. How reading is used, what is the significance of it and how the pedagogical tasks are solved in this sensitive context. Besides, it suggests verifying if the educational approaches dictated by the Ministry of Education to develop reading skills in student-patients of this pedagogical method can be proven. In order to go deep into this reality, the first aspects that were studied were those related to schools and hospital classrooms: definition, origins, objectives and their functioning according to the valid regulation of this educational system of the country. The research focused on the work with two kinds of reading: the therapeutic and the academic. On one hand, the first type of reading aims to stabilize the mood of the student-patients and to provide a recreational and playful reading. On the other hand, the second type aims to improve the teaching-learning process of the student-patients by focusing on the development of skills according totheir educational level. The Ministry of Education establishes direction and guidelines for both types of reading. These are included in the base educational curriculum for secondary school as well as in its reading key programs and in the structure of Language subjects. The Program for Special Education is in charge of this type of education; therefore, it is necessary to relate the concepts of inclusion and educational integration to the work that schools and hospital classrooms do. In order to do this, it was confirmed from the point of view of the interviewed professionals, how effective is the reintegration process that every student-patient experiences when they need to return to their regular schools. | dc.description | Esta investigación da cuenta del trabajo de distintos profesionales de la educación en algunas escuelas y aulas hospitalarias de Santiago: cómo utilizan la lectura, qué importancia le dan a esta y cómo resuelven las tareas pedagógicas en este contexto tan delicado. Además, se propone comprobar si seconsideran los planteamientos educativos dictados por el Ministerio de Educación para desarrollar lahabilidad lectora en los alumnos-pacientes de esta modalidad pedagógica. Para adentrarnos en esta realidad, primero se investigaron los aspectos más importantes referidos a las escuelas y aulas hospitalarias: definición, orígenes, objetivos y funcionamiento de estas de acuerdo con la normativa vigente en nuestro país sobre este sistema educativo. La investigación se centró en el trabajo de dos tipos de lectura: la terapéutica y la académica. La primera tiene la intención de estabilizar el estado anímico de los alumnos pacientes y contribuir con una lectura recreativa y lúdica. Por su parte, la segunda tiene el propósito de enriquecer el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de los alumnos pacientes enfocándose en desarrollar las habilidades según su nivel educativo. Para ambas lecturas, el Ministerio de Educación e entrega orientaciones y lineamientos expresados en las bases curriculares de enseñanza media en su eje de lectura y en los programas de estudio de la disciplina de Lenguaje. Este tipo de educación está a cargo del Programa de Educación Especial; por lo tanto, se hace necesario relacionar los conceptos de inclusión e integración educativa con la labor que realizan las escuelas y aulas hospitalarias. Para ello, se constató, desde el punto de vista de los profesionales entrevistados, qué tan efectivo es el proceso de reinserción que vive el alumno paciente cuando debe volver a su colegio de origen, proceso que está reglamentado oficialmente y es el objetivo final de la educación hospitalaria | es-ES |
