| dc.description | El estudio del locus de control, un importante recurso de afrontamiento que tienegran relevancia como factor predictivo de otras variables actitudinales, afectivas ycomportamentales, se inició hace ya muchos años. Con el correr del tiempo, se haperfeccionando el entendimiento de este constructo y han ido surgiendo medidascada vez mejores del mismo. Aunque en un comienzo se lo consideraba unidimensional, hoy se han llegado a medir, por lo menos, seis modalidades diferentes que lo integran. Este artículo propone al lector retroceder hasta las primeras conceptualizaciones respecto del locus de control, delineando cronológicamente, y de manera sintética, algunos de los hallazgos que posibilitaron entender el concepto desde una perspectiva multidimensional. | es-ES |
| dc.description | lResearch on the concept of locus of control began many years ago. Its importancestems from its relevance as an important coping resource as well as a predictivefactor of other attitudinal, emotional and behavioural variables. Over the years theunderstanding of locus of control has improved and better ways of measuring thisconstruct have emerged. Even though earlier on in history it was considered one–dimensional, currently there are at least six different dimensions which make upthis construct. The following article invites the reader to review the history of theconcept of locus of control, beginning with the first efforts at conceptualizing it.Furthermore, the author highlights some of the findings which today allow us toview locus of control from a multidimensional perspective. | en-US |
