| dc.description | This paper develops the thesis that after more than two decades since the total breakdown of relations between China and the Soviet Union, in the not too distant future the same two great powers will return to a much less difficult relationship. We argue that their respective visions of their national security have changed in the last twenty years as much as the world has changed between 1960 and 1980. These adjustments in Sino-Soviet relations, which should not be seen as a close rapprochement, will profoundly affect the other major players in the international power game, including the United States and its clients and allies in Western Europe and the Far East. | en-US |
| dc.description | En el presente trabajo se desarrolla la tesis de que tras más de dos décadas desde la ruptura total de las relaciones entre China y la Unión Soviética, en un futuro no muy lejano las mismas dos grandes potencias volverán a una relación mucho menos conflictiva. Sostenemos que sus respectivas visiones de su seguridad nacional han cambiado en los últimos veinte años tanto como el mundo ha cambiado entre 1960 y 1980. Estos ajustes en las relaciones chino-soviéticas, que no deberían ser consideradas como un acercamiento estrecho, afectarán profundamente a todos los demás grandes actores en el juego internacional del poder, incluyendo Estados Unidos y sus clientes y aliados de Europa Occidental y del Lejano Oriente. | es-ES |
