| dc.description | The economic relations between Cuba and the United States have generally been subordinated to the political relations between both countries and framed within the geopolitical interests of the United States, on the one hand, and by the struggle for the national independence of Cuba, on the other. This work attempts to address the issue of economic relations between Cuba and the United States, after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959 to date. The most significant moments in the evolution of these relationships are highlighted, as well as some considerations about their possible future evolution, taking into account the most recent changes that have taken place on the island. | en-US |
| dc.description | Las relaciones económicas entre Cuba y Estados Unidos han estado subordinadas por lo general a las relaciones políticas entre ambos países y enmarcadas dentro de los intereses geopolíticos de Estados Unidos, de una parte, y por la lucha por la independencia nacional de Cuba, por la otra. El presente trabajo intenta abordar la temática de las relaciones económicas entre Cuba y Estados Unidos, después del triunfo de la Revolución Cubana en 1959 hasta la fecha. Se destacan los momentos más significativos en la evolución de estas relaciones, así como algunas consideraciones sobre su posible evolución futura atendiendo a los cambios más recientes que han tenido lugar en la isla. | es-ES |
