| dc.description | In world politics in the last 30 years, the expansion of civil society and the greater participation and protagonism of non-state actors and interest groups, in the issues of the international agenda that are beginning to have a transnational dimension, stand out. This implies the participation of actors who "understand" and manage the new global codes and symbols. A community of cosmopolitan subjects who feel comfortable traveling and interacting on a daily basis with their international "new peers" inserted in a complex global society. As a way of reflecting on this matter, this essay makes an approach to the visions and attitudes of these transnational elites in Chilean society, for which a case study is preliminarily analyzed based on the experience of academic exchange and the influence culture that the Fulbright Program has developed in Chile. | en-US |
| dc.description | En la política mundial de los últimos 30 años destaca la expansión de la sociedad civil y la mayor participación y protagonismo de actores no estatales y grupos de intereses en los problemas de la agenda internacional y que empiezan a tener una dimensión transnacional. Esto implica la participación de actores que “comprenden” y manejan los nuevos códigos y símbolos globales. Una comunidad de sujetos cosmopolitas que se sienten cómodos viajando e interactuando cotidianamente con sus “nuevos pares” internacionales insertados en una sociedad global compleja. Como una manera de reflexionar sobre esta materia, el presente ensayo hace una aproximación a las visiones y actitudes de estas elites transnacionales en la sociedad chilena, para lo cual se analiza preliminarmente un estudio de caso a partir de la experiencia de intercambio académico y la influencia cultural que ha desarrollado el Programa Fulbright en Chile. | es-ES |
