Para intentar sacar lecciones del proceso español es necesario comprender que la experiencia de este país en los ochenta es irrepetible debido a factores históricos y geográficos. Sin embargo, hay aspectos que sin ser singulares o únicos igualmente pueden ser imitados. Desde esta perspectiva, y en el entendido de que no se han solucionado todos sus problemas, en este trabajo se explican las claves del éxito económico de España: las políticas de ajuste aplicadas, la adhesión a la Comunidad Económica Europea, el favorable entorno internacional y la herencia económica y política. Se concluye que es en definitiva la política económica aplicada por este país lo más fácil de copiar y lo menos original del caso español.To try to learn lessons from the Spanish process, it is necessary to understand that the experience of this country in the eighties is unrepeatable due to historical and geographical factors. However, there are aspects that, without being singular or unique, can still be imitated. From this perspective, and with the understanding that not all its problems have been solved, this paper explains the keys to Spain's economic success: the adjustment policies applied, the accession to the European Economic Community, the favorable international environment and the economic and political heritage. It is concluded that the economic policy applied by this country is ultimately the easiest to copy and the least original of the Spanish case.
