| dc.description | This paper presents the main negotiations that concern Chile and Antarctica, starting with the first negotiations with Argentina in 1906 as a result of the government's complaint to a Chilean concession granted to two individuals that comprises around two million hectares. They are followed by the Huneeus-Anadón and Puga Borne-Anadón negotiations, in 1907 and 1908; the Escudero-Ruiz Moreno negotiation of 1941; the Escudero-Green negotiations of 1948; the preparatory negotiations for the International Geophysical Year in Paris (1955); the Antarctic Treaty negotiations in Washington (1959); and, finally, the first negotiation on oil exploitation, in a consultative meeting in Wellington, Australia (1972), since which eleven years of special meetings have passed and there is still no final agreement to draft these regulations. | en-US |
| dc.description | En el presente trabajo se presentan las principales negociaciones que competen a Chile y la Antártica, a partir de las primeras negociaciones con Argentina en 1906 producto de la queja de su gobierno a una concesión chilena otorgada a dos particulares que comprende alrededor de dos millones de hectáreas. Le siguen las negociaciones Huneeus-Anadón y Puga Borne-Anadón, en 1907 y 1908; la negociación Escudero-Ruiz Moreno de 1941; las negociaciones Escudero-Green de 1948 ; las negociaciones preparatorias del año geofísico internacional en París (1955); las negociaciones del Tratado Antártico en Washington (1959) ; y, finalmente, la primera negociación sobre aprovechamiento petrolero, en reunión consultiva de Wellington, Australia (1972), desde la que han transcurrido once años de reuniones especiales y aún no hay acuerdo final para redactar ese reglamento. | es-ES |
