| dc.description | In a recently published book, until now little known outside of Colombia, the writer and economist Mario Arrubla develops three essays that constitute an excellent study of underdevelopment. Both the introduction to the book and the first essay deal with the problem of unemployment. The second article is a more general historical study of the expansion of the capitalist system in the today underdeveloped world. In the third and last chapter, the author studies the development of underdevelopment in "neocolonial" Colombia from the 1930s to the late 1950s and refers to some integrating mechanisms of Colombia and other Latin American countries in the international capitalist structure and the effects of this satellite position on the domestic market and production. | en-US |
| dc.description | En un libro recientemente aparecido, hasta ahora poco conocido fuera de Colombia, el escritor y economista Mario Arrubla desarrolla tres ensayos que constituyen un excelente estudio del subdesarrollo. Tanto la introducción del libro como el primer ensayo tratan del problema del desempleo. El segundo artículo es un estudio histórico más general de la expansión del sistema capitalista en el mundo hoy subdesarrollado. En el tercer y último capítulo el autor estudia el desarrollo del subdesarrollo en la Colombia "neocolonial" desde los años 30 hacia fines de los años 50 y se refiere a algunos mecanismos integradores de Colombia y otros países latinoamericanos en la estructura capitalista internacional y los efectos de esta posición de satélite sobre el mercado interno y la producción. | es-ES |
