Sudamérica : seguridad regional y relaciones con Estados Unidos;

| dc.description | The system established in the postwar period has proven to be unsuitable for regulating security relations between the countries of the hemisphere. Latin American realities lead us to distinguish the territorial areas to deal with these problems. We must then ask ourselves: a) How to define the security spheres in the hemisphere? Is it possible to define a specific area in the South American region? b) Is there a common problem for the South American countries? What are the main security issues and what is their current status? c) What are the likely trends of the main South American security problems? How can policies be developed that contribute to establishing a security system that emphasizes shared interests among the countries of South America? And, finally, how to reconcile these shared interests with those of the United States? This work attempts to help answer these questions from a South American perspective. | en-US |
| dc.description | El sistema establecido en la postguerra ha demostrado no ser apto para regular las relaciones de seguridad entre los países del hemisferio. Las realidades latinoamericanas llevan a distinguir los ámbitos territoriales para tratar estos problemas. Debemos entonces preguntarnos: a) ¿Cómo definir los ámbitos de seguridad en el hemisferio? ¿Es posible definir un ámbito específico en la región de América del Sur? b) ¿Existe una problemática común para los países sudamericanos? ¿Cuáles son los principales temas de seguridad y cuál es su estado actual? c) ¿Cuáles son las tendencias probables de los principales problemas de seguridad sudamericanos?, ¿cómo pueden desarrollarse políticas que contribuyan a establecer un sistema de seguridad que ponga énfasis en los intereses compartidos entre los países de América del Sur? y, finalmente ¿cómo compatibilizar estos intereses compartidos con los de los Estados Unidos? Este trabajo intenta contribuir a responder a esas interrogantes desde una perspectiva sudamericana. | es-ES |
