| dc.description | The emergence of the theory of interdependence has meant an important milestone in the evolution of studies on international relations. Its emergence marked a break in the debate on the elements that had characterized the analysis of international politics, basically the Anglo-Saxon tradition. The objective of this work is, on the one hand, to highlight the main postulates and premises of this theory, evaluating its major contributions and its most notorious limitations; and on the other, to analyze whether its questioning of certain fundamental assumptions of the realist theoretical approach has led to the development of a new paradigmatic approach to the study of international relations. To carry out these tasks, two of the most relevant works by Robert O. Keohane and Joseph S. Nye are taken as a primary point of reference. | en-US |
| dc.description | La emergencia de la teoría de interdependencia ha significado un hito importante en la evolución de los estudios sobre relaciones internacionales. Su surgimiento marcó un quiebre en cuanto al debate de los elementos que habían caracterizado el análisis de tradición básicamente anglosajona, de la política internacional. El objetivo del presente trabajo es, por un lado, resaltar los principales postulados y premisas de esta teoría, evaluando sus mayores aportes y sus limitaciones más notorias; y por el otro, analizar si su cuestionamiento de ciertos supuestos fundamentales del enfoque teórico realista ha conllevado al desarrollo de una nueva aproximación paradigmática al estudio de las relaciones internacionales. Para llevar a cabo estas tareas se toman como punto de referencia primordial dos de los trabajos más relevantes realizados por Robert O. Keohane y Joseph S. Nye. | es-ES |
