| dc.description | The Spanish journalist Javier Fernández Pesquero resided in Chile between 1903 and 1947. During this time he worked at various newspapers as director of some of them. Conservative and nationalist, his thinking is part of panhispanismo, current hispanoamericanismo, which had set an objective that Spain «reconquer» spiritually to its former colonies through moral leadership. Fernández Pesquero followed the dynamics of relations between Spain and Chile leaving their reflections in their reporting. We selected for this research published in the Andalusian magazine La Rábida during the years of World War I in the highlights the problems observed and provides proposals to improve bilateral relations. | en-US |
| dc.description | El periodista español Javier Fernández Pesquero residió en Chile entre 1903 y 1947. Durante este tiempo trabajó en diversos periódicos, siendo director de algunos de ellos. Conservador y nacionalista, su pensamiento se enmarca dentro del panhispanismo, corriente del hispanoamericanismo que se fijaba como objetivo que España «reconquistara» espiritualmente a sus antiguas colonias mediante un liderazgo moral. Fernández Pesquero siguió la dinámica de las relaciones entre España y Chile, dejando sus reflexiones en sus trabajos periodísticos. Para esta investigación hemos seleccionado los artículos publicados en la revista andaluza La Rábida durante los años de la Primera Guerra Mundial, en los que resalta los problemas que observa y aporta sus propuestas para mejorar las relaciones bilaterales. | es-ES |
