Despite the enormous potential of bilateral relations between Argentina and Korea, they are little known and studied. There are deep reasons that have influenced the poor and distorted image of Korea, some are cultural factors. Another decisive factor has been the belonging to different geopolitical and geoeconomic spheres of influence, with little contact with each other. The so-called globalization implies the opportunity to establish and reinforce direct linkage mechanisms between Korea and Argentina, which allow mutual knowledge and the emergence of perceptions about the other that are not mediated by third parties. This article corresponds to an effort to draw an overview of the Argentine-Korean relationship, which outlines its structure, the main characteristics of its stages, recalling some of its protagonists. For such purposes, chronologically it focuses on the historical and diplomatic aspects that have been the milestones that have marked out this common path.A pesar del enorme potencial de las relaciones bilaterales entre Argentina y Corea, estas son poco conocidas y estudiadas. Hay razones profundas que han incidido en la pobre y distorsionada imagen de Corea, unos son los factores culturales. Otro factor decisivo ha sido la pertenencia esferas de influencia geopolíticas y geoeconómicas distintas, con escaso contacto entre sí. La llamada globalización implica la oportunidad de establecer y reforzar mecanismos directos de vinculación entre Corea y Argentina, que permitan el conocimiento mutuo y el surgimiento de percepciones sobre el otro no mediadas por terceros. Este artículo corresponde a un esfuerzo por trazar un panorama sobre la relación Argentina-Coreana, que esboce la estructura de la misma, las características principales de sus etapas, recordando a algunos de sus protagonistas. Para tales efectos, en forma cronológica se centraliza en los aspectos históricos y diplomáticos que han sido los hitos que han jalonado este camino común.
