| dc.description | The year 1988 did not record any significant changes in the field of European-Latin American relations. Within a context marked by multiple priorities and great challenges for the two regions, an interregional dialogue has continued to develop; and although it may reflect common objectives, it takes place at very different and varied levels. We argue that while it is clear that Latin America does not have a high priority for Western Europe, just as it is equally clear that Latin America's central concerns do not point to the old continent, this does not mean that relations between the two regions lack possibilities of growth. | en-US |
| dc.description | El año 1988 no registró cambios de importancia en el ámbito de las relaciones europeo-latinoamericanas. Dentro de un contexto marcado por prioridades múltiples y grandes desafíos para las dos regiones, se ha seguido desarrollando un diálogo interregional que si bien puede reflejar unos objetivos comunes, tiene lugar en planos muy distintos y variados. Sostenemos que si bien es claro que América Latina no tiene una gran prioridad para Europa Occidental, así como es igualmente claro que las preocupaciones centrales de América Latina no apuntan hacia el viejo continente, ello no significa que las relaciones entre las dos regiones carezcan de posibilidades de crecimiento. | es-ES |
