| dc.description | Los profundos cambios políticos y económicos ocurridos en la región Asia-Pacífico han influido en la política exterior de ASEAN. Para entender esto, en el presente trabajo se realiza una caracterización de esta asociación mencionando sus objetivos, mecanismos y funcionamiento a través del tiempo. Además, se explica su evolución institucional, mencionando sus diferentes etapas. Para evaluar el futuro de ASEAN, se destacan aspectos importantes de la estructura sociopolítica de sus países miembros y las características del modelo de desarrollo, señalando sus rasgos típicos y el rol central ejercido por el Estado. Se analiza además la incidencia de Japón en el ordenamiento económico regional y la importancia que reviste la intensidad de las relaciones económicas con América del Norte. En el ámbito geoestratégico, se recalca la fluidez del sistema regional de seguridad y los temores de que la presencia norteamericana disminuya, en un escenario determinado por la intensificación de los conflictos subregionales. | es-ES |
| dc.description | The profound political and economic changes in the Asia-Pacific region have influenced ASEAN's foreign policy. To understand this, in the present work a characterization of this association is carried out, mentioning its objectives, mechanisms and functioning over time. In addition, its institutional evolution is explained, mentioning its different stages. To assess the future of ASEAN, important aspects of the socio-political structure of its member countries and the characteristics of the development model are highlighted, pointing out its typical features and the central role played by the State. The impact of Japan on the regional economic order and the importance of the intensity of economic relations with North America are also analyzed. In the geostrategic sphere, it emphasizes the fluidity of the regional security system and the fears that the North American presence will diminish, in a scenario determined by the intensification of subregional conflicts. | en-US |
