Limited, in principle, to trade relations between the main global players and especially between the US, the EEC and Japan, they are inscribed in a much broader context. Added to this is the new situation in the US and, above all, the dollar crisis. We are therefore in one of those political moments in which the existing order no longer resists and it is necessary to find a new balance. In order to better systematize and clarify the problems posed by these negotiations, it is necessary to specify: The East - West political relations; the economic position of Japan; the problems of the USA; the demands of the US and, finally, the position of the EEC. | en-US |
| dc.description | Las futuras negociaciones que se realizarán a partir de septiembre de 1973 en el marco del GATT son denominadas la Rueda Nixon. Limitadas, en principio, a las relaciones comerciales entre los principales protagonistas mundiales y sobre todo entre EE.UU., CEE y Japón, se inscriben en un contexto mucho más amplio. A esto se agrega la nueva situación en que se encuentra EE.UU. y, ante todo, las crisis del dólar. Estamos por tanto en uno de esos momentos políticos en que el orden existente no resiste más y es necesario encontrar un nuevo equilibrio. Con el fin de sistematizar y esclarecer mejor los problemas planteados por esas negociaciones, es necesario precisar: Las relaciones políticas Este – Oeste; la posición económica de Japón; los problemas de EE.UU.; las exigencias de EE.UU. y, finalmente, la posición de la CEE. | es-ES |
