| dc.description | La estrategia en un vasto ámbito oceánico no implica el control del mar propiamente tal, sino de puntos específicos de importancia en él o alrededor de él, del acceso a estos puntos y las rutas entre ellos con propósitos comerciales, de adquisición de suministros, desplazamiento de fuerzas militares, o de mantención de comunicaciones. La importancia estratégica es una función de pugna por la influencia o el control. Muchos países necesitan del mar para el transporte de alimentos, petróleo, materias primas para la Industria, etc. Para realizar este análisis, se eligen dos océanos: el Índico y el Pacífico, y se discute sobre sus aspectos estratégicos. | es-ES |

Strategic importance is a function of striving for influence or control. Many countries need the sea to transport food, oil, raw materials for Industry, etc. To carry out this analysis of their strategic aspects, we chose two oceans: the Indian and the Pacific. | en-US |
