| dc.description | The concrete recommendations of the Brandt Commission are generally focused on seeking greater growth in industrial exports from the South, without sufficiently addressing the problem of their composition and convenience or the role of transnational corporations. For this reason, its analysis and recommendations focus fundamentally on the problem of protectionism in the North and the required expansion of South-South trade. While the Commission's pragmatic approach may allow further progress in international negotiations in the short term, it is important that they are fully aware of the serious limitations of its approach and recommendations. In this paper a set of recommendations is presented, expanding in greater detail on the proposals that differ from those of the Commission. | en-US |
| dc.description | Las recomendaciones concretas de la Comisión Brandt se centran en general en buscar un mayor crecimiento de las exportaciones industriales del Sur, sin atender suficientemente al problema de su composición y conveniencia o al rol de las corporaciones trasnacionales. Por ello su análisis y recomendaciones se enfocan fundamentalmente en el problema de proteccionismo en el Norte y de la requerida expansión del comercio Sur-Sur. Si bien la aproximación pragmática de la Comisión puede permitir avanzar más en las negociaciones internacionales a corto plazo, es importante que se tengan plena conciencia de las grandes limitaciones de su enfoque y recomendaciones. En este trabajo se plantea un conjunto de recomendaciones, desarrollando con mayor detalle las propuestas que difieren de las de la Comisión. | es-ES |
