This article analyzes the many right-wing Spanish organizations created in Cuba following the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War (1936-39) as well as their restructuring after the end of the conflict (1940-42). To this end, we will analyze the creation of the FE, JONS de la FE, the Spanish Nationalist Committee and the Casa de España as evidence of the political hyperpolarization experienced by these groups until the enactment of the Decree of Unification and the birth of FET and JONS. We will analyze the decline of the “blue era” in Cuba—the period when Spanish right-wing groups on the island were at their peak-. Most importantly, we will examine the effects that Cuba’s entry into World War II had on associative institutions and on the Cuban government’s foreign policy, as it aligned itself with the strategic defense priorities of the United States.Keywords: Spanish right in Cuba, Republican Cuba, Francoist Spain, World War II, Spanish Civil War.El presente trabajo realiza un estudio de las diversas asociaciones de la derecha hispano-cubana que, al calor del conflicto fratricida en España, se fueron conformando y reestructurando en la Isla. En función de este objetivo trataremos, básicamente, la creación de la FE, las JONS de la FE, el Comité Nacionalista Español y la Casa de España como expresión de la hiperpolarización política vivida por este grupo hasta la aplicación del Decreto de Unificación y el nacimiento de FET y de las JONS. Por último, abordaremos el declive de la “era azul” en la mayor de las Antillas y, sobre todo, los efectos que para este mundo asociativo tuvo la entrada de Cuba en la II Guerra Mundial y la alineación del gobierno de La Habana a las estrategias defensivas de los Estados Unidos.Palabras clave: Derecha hispano-cubana, Cuba republicana,España franquista, II Guerra Mundial, Guerra Civil española.
