| dc.description | One of the problems community psychology has nowadays is the definition of community. Traditionally community psychology had inspired in a concept of community linked firmly to the territory (in the sense of geographic location). But now, at the beginning of a new hstorical era, the notion of territory of communities is vanishing, since there is an increasing development of social networks and groups who do not share a geographic location, even more, in some of them the members even don't meet personally. Looking at this fact, one could state the necessity of redefining the concept of community. This new community-concept can exclude the notion of territory, but it has to be clear in other characteristics of a community, in order to differentiate it from other kind of human associations.This paper proposes a concept of community characterized by the inclusion of three elements: belonging (as the feeling of "being part of" and "identified with"); interrelation, that is: communication, interdependence, and mutual influence; and common culture, in the sense or the existence of shared meanings. | en-US |
| dc.description | Uno de los problemas actuales en Psicología Comunitaria es la definición de comunidad. Tradicionalmente, la Psicología Comunitaria se ha inspirado en un concepto de comunidad fuertemente ligado a la noción de territorio (en el sentido de localidad geográfica). Sin embargo, en la era histórica que se encuentra actualmente el inicio, se va desvaneciendo la noción de territorio físico de las comunidades, estableciéndose redes y agrupaciones de agrupaciones de personas que no comparten una ubicación geográfica común, es más, algunas de las cuales ni siquiera tienen contacto cara a cara. Ante esta realidad cabe plantearse la necesidad de prescindir de la noción de territorio, deberá incluir algunos elementos que permitan distinguir una comunidad de otro tipo de asociaciones humanas.Se propone, en este trabajo, un concepto de comunidad caracterizado por la inclusión de tres elementos: pertenencia, entendida desde la subjetividad como "sentirse parte de", e "identificado con"; interrelación, es decir, comunicación, interdependencia e influencia mutua de sus miembros; y cultura común, vale decir, la existencia de significados compartidos. | es-ES |
