dc.descriptionResumen: La gestión turística del cantón Pasaje busca potenciara nivel nacional los atractivos turísticos que dispone.Entre los que destacan balnearios de agua dulce, práctica deturismo de aventura y zonas con biodiversidad óptimos parapromover el turismo. La actividad turística en las zonas ruralespermite incrementar la economía y el desarrollo de proyectosenfocados al turismo en busca del aprovechamientosostenible de los recursos naturales y culturales, a través delanálisis del sistema turístico, el cual comprende el resultadode una serie de factores interrelacionados (internos y externos).El objetivo principal de la investigación es identificar elestado actual de la parroquia Casacay, y los indicadores quepueden potenciar la actividad turística en el territorio. Lametodología empleada fue el método exploratorio descriptivomediante la ficha de levantamiento y jerarquización deatractivos turísticos del MINTUR con un enfoque de observacióndirecta. Los resultados plasmaron que existe recursosnaturales potenciales para realizar actividades de recreación,además de datos estadísticos de los indicadores en beneficiode la comunidad para la gestión y desarrollo de estrategias.Palabras claves: Sistema turístico, potencialidad, recursosturísticos, factores internos y externos, turismo.Abstract: The tourist management of the Pasaje cantonseeks to strengthen the tourist attractions available to itnationally. Among those that stand out freshwater spas,adventure tourism practice and areas with optimal biodiversityto promote tourism. The tourist activity in the ruralareas allows to increase the economy and the developmentof projects focused on tourism in search of the sustainableuse of natural and cultural resources. Through theanalysis of the tourism system which includes the result ofa series of interrelated factors (internal and external). Themain objective of the research is to identify the currentstate of the Casacay parish, and the indicators that canboost tourism activity in the territory. The methodologyused was the descriptive exploratory method through thesurvey and ranking of tourist attractions of MINTUR witha direct observation approach. The results reflected thatthere are potential natural resources to carry out recreationactivities, in addition to statistical data of the indicatorsfor the benefit of the community for the managementand development of strategies.Key Words: Tourism system, potential, tourism resources, internaland external factors, tourism.(Presentado: 22 de agosto de 2019.
