dc.descriptionBiopsies were taken at depth of 4 and 6 cm in the Gluteus medius muscle of 21 horses Selle Francais of 2 at 3 years old, 7 males and 14 females with out training. The samples were analized by mATPase miofibrillar technique and NADH-TR technique in order to determine the oxidative capacity of the fibers and the area and the lesser diameter were determined.The averages obtained for the fibrillar composition were of 11%, 30%, 26% , 33 % and 19%, 37%, 18% and 25%, for the fibers type 1, HA, IIB oxidative and IIB non oxidative respectively at 4 and 6 cm of depth for male and female. The average obtained for fibrillar composition was 11%, 26%, 28%, 35% and 20%, 37%, 15% and 28% at 4 and 6 cm of depth respectively for the females. The average obtained for fibrillar compositions was 10%, 34%, 24%, 32% and 18%, 37%, 22% and 23% at 4 and 6 cm of depth respectively for the males. The fibrillar composition varies in relation to the depth of the biopsy for the fibers type 1, IIA and IIB between the depth. There are differences significant in the fibrillar compositions only for the fiber type 1 between the depth. In total group there are differences for the fibers type 1, HA, IIB oxidatives and IIB no oxidatives between the depth of biopsie.The area determined at 6 cm of depth was 2,942; 3,433; 4,998 pm2 in males and females, 2,833; 3,339 and 4,436 pm2 in the females and 3,051; 3,528; 4,820 µm2 in the males for the fibers type 1, HA y IIB, respectively. The lesser diameter determined at 6 cm of depth was 52, 56 and 64 pm in the males and females, 50, 54 y 59 pm and 54,58 and 68 pm for the fiber type 1, HA and IIB, respectively. The area and lesser diameter showed significant differences between fibers type 1, HA and ZIB, with the depth of biopsy and there are not significant differences between sex.en-US
dc.descriptionSe obtuvieron biopsias a 4 y 6 centímetros de pro­fundidad del músculo Gluteus medius de 21 equinos de Silla Francés con una edad de 2-3 años, los cua­les no habían realizado con anterioridad ningún pro-grama específico de entrenamiento. Las muestras fueron analizadas por las técnicas mATPasa miofibrilar, para determinar la composición fibrilar, y NADH-TR para establecer la capacidad oxidativa y se determinó el área y diámetro de las fibras.El promedio obtenido en la composición fibrilar fue de 11%, 30%, 26% y 33 % a 4 cm y 19%, 37%, 19% y 25% a 6 cm para las fibras tipo I, IIA, lIB oxidativas y lIB no oxidativas, respectivamente, para la totalidad del grupo. Las hembras presentaron un promedio de 11%, 26%, 28% y 35% a 4 cm y 20%, 37%, 15% y 28% a 6 cm para las fibras tipo I, IA,11B oxidativas y IIB no oxidativas, respectivamente, exis­tiendo diferencias significativas relacionadas con la profundidad del muestreo para las fibras tipo 1, II A y IIB oxidativas. Los machos presentaron un promedio de 10%, 34%, 24% y 32% a 4 cm y 18%, 37%, 22% y 23% a 6 cm para las fibras tipo I, IA, IIB oxidativas y IIB no oxidativas, respectivamente, existiendo di­ferencias significativas relacionadas con la profundi­dad del muestreo para las fibras tipo 1.El área de las fibras se determinó a 6 cm de pro­fundidad, siendo para todo el grupo de 2.942 µm2, 3.433 pm2, 4:998 µm2 y el diámetro menor fue de 52 µm, 56 µm y 64 µm para las fibras tipo I, IIA y lIB, respectivamente. El área y diámetro menor para las fibras tipo 1, IIA y IIB fue de 2.833 µm, 3.339 pm, 4.436 pm y 50 pm, 54 µm y 59 µm , respectivamente, para las hembras. El área y diámetro menor para las fibras tipo I, IIA y IIB fue de 3.051 µm2, 3.528 µm2, 4.820 µm2 y 54 pm, 58 µm y 68 pm para los machos, presentando el grupo, las hembras y los machos el área y diámetro menor diferencias significativas en­tre las fibras tipo 1, IIA y IIB, y no hay diferencia en el tamaño de las fibras entre machos y hembras.es-ES
