| dc.description | Se comunica la detección de Leishmania spp en dos perros de Huánuco, Perú. Al examen clínico se observó dificultad respiratoria en un perro. Estudios cito e histopatológicos de biopsias de piel y nódulos linfáticos revelaron numerosos cuerpos pequeños en el citoplasma de macrófagos, morfológicamente compatibles con el estado amastigote de Leishmania spp. Se realizó cultivo del parásito cuyos resultados no se muestran en este trabajo.Al examen histopatológico de piel se apreció infiltración difusa dermal de macrófagos, células plasmáticas y en menor número de neutrófilos y eosinófilos, también muy pocas células gigantes multinucleadas. Los cambios más significativos fueron hiperplasia seudoepiteliomatosa con una erosión focal y formación de costra.Palabras claves: Leishmania spp, perros, quimioterapia.AbstractIt is reported the detección of Leishmania spp in two dogs from Huánuco, Pertí. Respiration difficult tivere seen in one dog. Cyto and histopathological examinations of skin and lymph podes biopsies, revealed macrophagues contained large mtmbers of small bodies mor phologically compatible with the amastigote stage of Leishmania spp. Attempts viere nade to tinture the organism, results shown reo in this paper.Histopathologically, examinations of skin revealed diffusse dernial infiltration of macrophagues, plasma cells and lesser numbers of neutrophils and eosinophils and few multinucleated giant cell too. Changes more signifcant included pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia with a focal erosion and crust formation.Key words: Leishmania spp, dogs, chemotherapy. | es-ES |
