Se estudiaron durante los períodos invernal y estival, muestras de huevos de Toxocara canis obtenidos de hembras adultas del parásito. Se observó su evolución al estadio infectante en función del tiempo, temperatura, humedad de laboratorio y ausencia de luz. En el período invernal, con temperaturas que variaron entre 6,4°C y 15,1°C y humedad de 89,5 ± 0,5%, los huevos no evolucionaron a su estadio infectante, luego de una incubación de 90 días. En el período estival, con temperaturas que variaron entre 19,1°C y 29,2°C y humedad de 80,0 ± 0,5%, a los 35 días se observó que el 95,3 ± 2,7% de los huevos habían larvado y el 96,1 ± 1,1 % de las larvas eran móviles.Palabras clave: toxocara canis, evolución, temperatura de laboratorio.AbstractEggs of Toxocara canis obtained from adult females of the parasite were studied during a winter and a summer period. Their development through their infective stage was studied in terms of time, temperature, laboratory humidity and lack of light. During winter, with temperatures ranging from 6.4°C to 15.1 °C, and humidity levels of 98.5 ± 0.5%, eggs did not develop to their infective stage after 90 days of incubation. During summer, with temperatures ranging between 19.1 °C and 29.2°C, and humidity levels of 80.0 ± 0.5%, at 35 days of incubation it was observed that 95.3 ± 2.7% of eggs had reached a larval stage, and 96.1 ±1.1% of larvae were mobile.Key words: toxocara canis, evolution, laboratory, temperature.
