| dc.description | En 41 caninos menores de 6 meses de edad, que presentaban signos clínicos de gastroenteritis hemorrágica aguda, se detectó la presencia de parvovirus canino tipo 2 en las heces por una prueba inmunoenzimática comercial (ELISA). Se estudió también las variaciones hematológicas y de química sanguínea de los pacientes.Del total de animales, 41,46% resultó positivo a la presencia de parvovirus canino, mientras que 58,53% fue negativo, por la prueba de ELISA. Las variaciones sanguíneas observadas más frecuentemente, tanto en los caninos ELISA positivos como negativos, fueron anemia, neucopenia, neutropenia, linfopenia, eosinopenia e hipoproteinemia.Palabras claves: Parvovirosis canina, prueba inmunoenzimática.AbstractIn 41 dogs under 6 months of age which presented hemorrhagic diarrhea, an elizyme immunoassay test kit (ELISA) was used to detect the presence of antigen from canine parvovirus type 2 in their feces. Hematologic and biochemical abnormalities were also detected.From the total of dogs studied, 41.46% were positive to the ELISA test, while 58.53% were negative. Frequent hematologic abnormalities in ELISA postive and negative dogs were anemia leukopenia, neutropenia, lymphopenia and eosinopenia.
