| dc.description | A retrospective description of the, fifth International Symposios on Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics was done. The number of participants were similar in the last three symposios and the number of research and authors have increased. The continents with less number of participants were Asia (13%), Africa (5.4%) and South and Central America (2%). Participants from the universities were 31% and from the ministries of agriculture 26%. The topics with more interest were Animal Health (50%) and the less interest were topics related Veterinary Public Health (3%). There was an increasing number- of research on softwares related herd monitoring, surveillance, analytical methods and models. | en-US |
| dc.description | Se describe retrospectivamente la participación en los cinco Simposios Internacionales de Epidemio­logía y Economía Veterinarias. El número de parti­cipantes fue similar en los últimos tres simposios, en cambio el número de investigaciones y autores de trabajos ha ido en aumento. Los continentes con menor número de participantes fueron Asia (13%), África (5,4%) y América del Sur y Central (2%). Los participantes de universidades fueron 31 % y de los ministerios de Agricultura 26%. Los temas de mayor interés fueron en Salud Animal con cerca del 50% y el de menor interés Salud Pública Veterinaria con 3% del total. Es destacable el interés creciente en programas computacionales relacionados con monitoreo de rebaños, vigilancia epidemiológica y el desarrollo de métodos analíticos y modelos. | es-ES |
