AbstractThe objective of the present study has been the elaboracion of a mathematical model that will constituye an analytical framework for a better understanding of the dynamics of the bovin subsector. The use of a methodology of an objective nature, such as mathematical models, imply in the first place, the stipulation of a series of definitions of conceptual character related to the processes involved. Even though these are frequently present in the minds of specialists in the way of intuitive images, it is difficult to generalize from them, with the required clearness. The model's structure is based on these submodes. A basic submodel which explains the relationships which determine the general context in which the sectorial dynamics are ínserted. These are represented in the submodel of productive progress and in the submodel of growth. Thus, the model permits the identification and analysis of processes of a specific character, such as the analysis of sifnificance of a particular parameter in terms of sectorial development, or the knowledge of the global effects ofa determined investment effort. Finally, although the development of a model of sectorial programming is not the main objetives of present study, the latter constitutes an instrument of great utility for programming, above all in relation with the formulation of objetives and sectorial goals, thus allowing the evaluation of the program's internal coherence.es-ES
