Abstract
1n order to determine the variation of serum bite acid and cholesterol concentration before, during and alter fasting in the goat, fifteen milk hybrid animals (3.5 to 4 months old) were used. Health status was deternzined by PCV, PP, leucocyte count and physical examination. Jugular blood samples to determine serum bile acid and cholesterol concentration were obtained at 9:00, 13:30 and 18:00 hours. Serum bite acid and cholesterol were determine by colorimetric methods (Merckotest). No sigui ficant variation was observed during the assay showing that fasting do not affect the metabolism of these compounds in this specie.
