| dc.description | Para describir en Médicos Veterinarios chilenos la esperanza de vida y ver como ésta ha evolucionado a lo largo del tiempo se construyeron tablas de vida para los siguientes períodos: 1956-1966, 1967-1977 y 1978-1988. Como fuente de datos se utilizó los registros del Colegio Médico Veterinario de Chile y los certificados de defunción. La función probabilidad de morir presenta una figura exponencial en las 3 curvas. La esperanza de vida del médico veterinario chileno ha mejorado a través del tiempo observándose que es incluso superior a la de la población masculina chilena de la misma edad.Palabras claves: Veterinarios, tablas de vida.AbstractIn order to estimate in veterinarians life expectation and its evolution life tables were calculated for the population of these professionals in 3 periods: 1958-1966, 1967-1977 y 1978-1988. The sources of data were the registries of the Chilean Medical Veterinary College and death certificates. The function death rate is an exponential and the expectancy of life is almost a line. Along the 3 periods expectation of life in veterinarians has increased showing that is even higher than life expectancy of the Chilean men population at the same age.Key words: Veterinarians, life tables. | es-ES |
