| dc.description | The aim of this article is to carry out a quantitative analysis ofsyntactical structures and most common discourse markers used ina corpus of sixteen letters written between the end of the XVI andthe beginning of the XVI centuries. It is hoped that this analysis willallow to identify the main similarities and differences between literaryletters -such as the ones written by Fray Antonio de Guevara- andprivate letters -such as those written by Felipe II to his daughters orthe ones sent to a friend of hers by Saint Teresa de Jesus or to a friendof his by Lope de Vega. The degree of complexity of the periodsand paragraphs of this type discourse will especially be analyzed.In addition, the infl uence of the socio-cultural status of letter-writerson letter-writing will be studied. That is why the letters of semicultoswriters, an ignored group in most of books dealing with the historyof the Spanish language, have been analyzed as well. | en-US |
| dc.description | El análisis cuantitativo de las estructuras sintácticas y los marcadoresdiscursivos predominantes en un corpus de dieciséis cartas redactadasentre la segunda mitad del siglo XV y comienzos del XVI permitiráconocer algunas de las diferencias o semejanzas existentes entre lasepístolas literarias -como las de Fray Antonio de Guevara- y aquéllasde carácter privado -como la correspondencia entre Felipe II y sushijas, la que Santa Teresa de Jesús dirige a una amiga, o las palabrasde Lope de Vega hacia su protector. Se analizarán especialmentecuestiones que atañen al grado de complejidad que alcanzan losperíodos o párrafos constitutivos del discurso. Asimismo, para determinar si la pertenencia a un distinto estrato sociocultural condiciona la configuración de tales tipos de textos, se compararán también las epístolas mencionadas con las de emigrantes semicultos, un grupo social apenas presente en las historias de la lengua. | es-ES |
