dc.descriptionThis article analyses the most relevant political events occurred during the year 2012 in Uruguay. It states that during the third year of Mujica’s government the political dynamic changed, due to the internal power realignments of the Frente Amplio and the transformation of the relationship between the government and political parties of the opposition. The debate on an advanced liberal political agenda (abortion law, equal marriage and marijuana legalization), the bankruptcy of the national airline PLUNA, as well as the international media sensation of President Mujica, gave a prominent presence of the country in the international press. Furthermore, the creation of the Technology University and the approval of the deep water port were also events of political importance.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo analiza los eventos políticos más relevantes ocurridos en Uruguay durante 2012. Se afirma que en el tercer año del gobierno de Mujica se produjeron cambios importantes en la dinámica política uruguaya, con rearticulaciones a la interna del Frente Amplio y en el relacionamiento entre el gobierno y los partidos de oposición. El debate de una agenda política liberal avanzada para los estándares de la región (despenalización del aborto, matrimonio igualitario y legalización de la marihuana), la quiebra de la aerolínea de bandera uruguaya PLUNA y un súbito interés de la prensa internacional por el presidente Mujica dieron al país una presencia destacada en la prensa internacional. Además de estos hechos, se pueden destacar como eventos importantes la creación de la Universidad Tecnológica y la aprobación de un puerto de aguas profundas.es-ES
