This article is oriented around the inquiry about the type of relationship that exists between the individual and society in systems theory. The characterizations of systems theory as a conflationist theory based on a negative anthropology are presented and discussed. It is then shown, as an alternative, a positive interpretation of the human being based on an operational primacy of the consciousness over society. Finally, it concludes with a discussion on the way in which this positive anthropology expresses itself through the psychic systems in its relationship with the social systems.Este artículo se orienta en torno a la indagación acerca del tipo de relación que existe entre el individuo y la sociedad en la teoría de sistemas. En ella se presentan y discuten las caracterizaciones de la teoría de sistemas como una teoría conflacionista basada en una antropología negativa. Se muestra como alternativa una interpretación positiva del ser humano basada en una primacía operativa de la consciencia sobre la sociedad. Finalmente, se concluye con una discusión sobre el modo en que esta antropología positiva se expresa a través de los sistemas psíquicos en su relación con los sistemas sociales.
