dc.descriptionThis article analyzes the influence of gender stereotypes in the creation and application of law and explains possible mechanisms for overcoming them. First, some fundamental concepts of gender theory and its critique of law and justice systems are defined and analyzed. Thereafter, on the basis of the examples of Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico and Uruguay, as well as the Inter-American human rights system, the challenges of implementing policies with a gender perspective in the judicial process are considered.en-US

En primer lugar se definen y analizan algunos conceptos fundamentales de la teoría de género y su crítica al derecho y los sistemas de justicia. Luego, a partir de ejemplos de Chile, Colombia, Argentina, México y Uruguay, así como del Sistema Interamericano de Derechos Humanos, se advierten los desafíos de implementar políticas con perspectiva de género en procesos judiciales.es-ES
