| dc.description | Resumen: En el del De Synodis, Hilario de Poitiers intenta atraer a los homoiousianos a la aceptación de la fórmula nicena. Para eso les explica que el sentido niceno del homooúsios no es monarquiano como ellos temen. Agrega que la transmisión por generación no admite cambio en la naturaleza transmitida, el hijo es siempre de la misma naturaleza que su padre. Y la naturaleza divina no tiene comparación, por lo que la que el Padre le transmite al Hijo solo puede ser la misma suya. En estas condiciones, decir homoioúsios equivale a decir homooúsios.

Abstract: In De Synodis, Hilary of Poitiers sought to attract the homoiousians towards accepting the Nicene formula. In order to do so, he explained that the Nicene sense of homoousious was not monarchian, as they feared. In addition, he said that what is passed down through generations does not allow changes in the nature of what is transmitted; the son is always of the same nature as his father. Moreover, divine nature cannot be compared, and, thus, what is transmitted by the father to the Son can only be his own. In such conditions, homoiousious is equivalent to homoousious.
