| dc.description | Resumen: El presente artículo explora vínculos existentes entre la moral social cristiana y la historia, en perspectiva del derrotero histórico de esta disciplina teológica así como de sus desarrollos contemporáneos. El análisis contempla un triple enfoque. El primero tematiza la aparición, o no, del tópico de la historia en los escritos de moral social cristiana, y el lugar que ocupa tal concepto dentro de la arquitectura semántica del discurso moral. El segundo investiga la comprensión con que la historiografía trabaja la noción de historia, que podría presionar la tematización de tal concepto por parte de la teología. El tercero relaciona el modo de comprender la historia por parte de la moral social cristiana con la inserción efectiva que el mundo cristiano ha tenido en el concreto histórico. Como hipótesis se postula que el ámbito de lo propiamente histórico concurre como un lugar teológico con el advenimiento que para la teología moral social constituyó el Concilio Vaticano II, que tal emergencia se vinculó con desarrollos disciplinarios más amplios, y que se tradujo en una inserción mundana comprometida, solidaria y comprensiva, que en no pocas ocasiones situó a los cristianos como precursores de la movimientalidad sociopolítica, especialmente en Latinoamérica.

Abstract: This article explores the links between Christian social doctrine and history from the perspective of the historical path of this theological discipline as well as its contemporary developments. The analysis has a three-part approach. The fi rst thematizes the appearance, or lack thereof, of the topic of history in the writings of Christian social doctrine. The second investigates the type of understanding that historiography applies when dealing with the notion of history, which could lead theology to place pressure on making this concept an issue. The third relates the manner of understanding history on the part of Christian social doctrine with the effective insertion that the Christian world has had in historical reality. As a hypothesis it is postulated that the realm of the strictly historical concurs as a theological place with the advent that the Second Vatican Council constituted for social moral theology, that this emergency was linked with wider disciplinary developments, and that it was translated into a committed, solidary and comprehensive worldly insertion, that on no few occasions situated Christians as precursors of socio-political movings, especially in Latin America.
