| dc.description | Social networks have changed the manner and frequency in which humans communicate, which has also resulted in a different ways of participation. This phenomenon, typical of cyberculture (Castells 1996, Kerckhove 1997, Tofts and McKeich 1998, Levy 2001, Scolari 2008), refers to the different positions on the influence of technology in social life and forms of socialization through network systems. Although some authors (Segerberg and Bennett, 2011, Patten 2013) doubt about the true value of these new media in politics, the school should consider them as an important part of the current cultural paradigm, especially because it says a low level of tolerance with a high number of users of divergent opinion. Therefore, the present paper attempts to reflect, from an educational perspective, on social networks, technology and power. | en-US |
| dc.description | Las redes sociales han modificado la forma y frecuencia en que los seres humanos se comunican, lo cual también ha originado una forma distinta de participación ciudadana. Este fenómeno, propio de la cibercultura (Castells 1996, Kerckhove 1997, Tofts y McKeich 1998, Lévy 2001, Scolari 2008), remite a las distintas posturas respecto de influencia de la tecnología en la vida social y a las formas de socialización a través de los sistemas reticulares. Si bien algunos autores (Segerberg y Bennett 2011, Patten, 2013) dudan del verdadero valor de estos nuevos medios en la política, la escuela debiera considerarlos como parte importante del paradigma cultural vigente, especialmente porque se advierte un escaso nivel de tolerancia que muestra un alto número de usuarios frente a opiniones divergentes. Atendiendo a lo anterior, en el presente trabajo se intenta reflexionar, desde una perspectiva educativa, respecto de las redes sociales, la tecnología y el poder. | es-ES |
