| dc.description | This manuscript studies social (dis)integration and local development policies in the border region, in North Patagonia, focusing on San Carlos de Bariloche City, since 1966 to 1983. One hypotheses of this research is the link between the establishment of an economic dependency dynamic and xenophobia since 1930s. This will be related to the construction of the Chilean as antagonistic, an aspect that became deeper during the last Argentinean dictatorship of the twentieth century. The article will review this from symbolic construction put in different scales of analysis' dialog. In order to do so, we incorporate into a national/regional debate the local/neighborhood dimensions. From the territorial appropriation of a specific area of the city, it will show how the economic and symbolic construction affect the differentiated occupation in the place, where neighbors suddenly discover themselves as intruders, while claims that hold a program of self-development are lost. | en-US |
| dc.description | El artículo revisa políticas de (des)integración social y desarrollo local en la región de frontera argentino-chilena, en la Norpatagonia argentina, con foco en la ciudad de San Carlos de Bariloche, desde 1966 a 1983. La hipótesis es que existe una vinculación entre la dependencia económica local y la retórica xenofóbica establecida desde los años 30. Esto se revisará desde la construcción de lo chileno como antagónico, y su profundización en las últimas dictaduras argentinas del siglo XX. Esta vinculación se examinará poniendo en diálogo diferentes escalas de análisis. Por ello, incorporaremos a un debate nacional/regional la tensión de un estudio de caso que introduce lo local/barrial. Desde la apropiación espacial de un sector específico de la ciudad, se mostrará de qué modo la construcción económica y simbólica repercute en la ocupación diferenciada de dicho sector, donde los vecinos de pronto se descubren como intrusos, al tiempo que se pierden los reclamos por sostener un programa de desarrollo autónomo. | es-ES |
